Beyonce may have millions of fans around the
world, but she also has her fair share of haters. From iconic singers to presidential
hopefuls, these celebs have openly trashed Beyonce in public. KID ROCK Singer Kid Rock got in big trouble with Beyonce’s
fans after he trashed the singer’s music in a 2015 interview with Rolling Stone. He said:
“How can you be that big without at least one ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ or ‘Old Time Rock
& Roll’?” Beyonce’s fans responded by swarming Kid Rock’s Instagram account with thousands
upon thousands of bumble bee emoticons. The swarm eventually got so bad, Kid Rock was
forced to retaliate by posting a picture of the insect-killer, Raid. RUDY GIULIANI Former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani took major
issue with Beyonce’s 2016 Super Bowl Halftime Show performance, which drew references from
the Black Panthers, Malcolm X, and the Black Lives Matter movement. Giuliani told Fox & Friends
the next day: “This is football, not Hollywood. I thought it was really outrageous that she
used it as a platform to attack police officers who are the people who protect her and protect
us, and keep us alive.” Giuliani went on to argue that the Super Bowl is for Middle America
and that the NFL should be providing “decent, wholesome entertainment” to that audience
and not political messages. DONALD TRUMP Speaking of Beyonce, political figures, and
the Super Bowl: Donald Trump took a number of jabs at Beyonce over her first appearance
at the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2013. Appearing on The Howard Stern Show the Donald completely
dissed the performance, which had otherwise received rave reviews, calling it “ridiculous”
and “inappropriate.” He said: “When Beyonce was thrusting her hips forward in a very suggestive
manner…If someone else would have done that it would have been a national scandal.” WENDY WILLIAMS In 2012, talk-show host Wendy Williams took
issue with the way Beyonce spoke during a preview of her HBO documentary, Life Is But
a Dream. She said: “I’m going to be watching this documentary—because fortunately one
of the TVs in our kitchen has closed captioning, so I’ll be able to understand what she says.”
The insults continued, amid gasps from her audience: “You know Beyonce can’t talk. Beyonce
sounds like she has a fifth-grade education. She can’t talk.” Williams continued to claim
she was a fan of Beyonce, but yeah—doesn’t sound like much of a fan to us. ETTA JAMES Beyonce earned arguably the best reviews of
her movie career playing legendary singer Etta James in the 2008 flick Cadillac Records.
She even attended the Los Angeles premiere of the movie with James, suggesting the two
of them were on good terms. Apparently, that wasn’t the case. In fact, during a 2009 concert,
James—who died in 2012—trashed Beyonce, mainly for singing James’ hit song, “At Last,”
at President Barack Obama’s 2009 Inaugural Ball. James said to a stunned crowd: “I can’t
stand Beyonce. She has no business up there, singing up there on a big ol’ president day,
gonna be singing my song that I’ve been singing forever.” Thanks for watching! Subscribe to our YouTube
