WE’LL HAVE A FULL LOOK AT YOUR WEATHER AND TRAFFIC COMING UP, BUT FIRST, WE HAVE BREAKING NEWS IN THE HILLTOP. A COLUMBUS FIREFIGHTER INJURED WHILE BATTLING A HOUSE FIRE OVERNIGHT. RICK IS LIVE ON THE SCENE WITH NEW INFORMATION ON THIS BREAKING NEWS. RICK. WELL, GOOD MORNING. WE ARE HERE IN THE 600 BLOCK OF SOUTH HAGUE, AS YOU SAID. NEW, TWO FIREFIGHTERS IN THIS HOME, HAD A VERY DIFFICULT TIME GETTING OUT. THE FIRE CHIEF TELLS ME IT’S BECAUSE OF CLUTTER IN THIS HOME. NOW, THIS FIRE STARTED IN THE BASEMENT. TAKE A LOOK AT THIS VIDEO. YOU CAN SEE ONE OF THE FIREFIGHTERS WAS WHAT CRAWLED OUT THE WINDOW. THE OTHER ONE OUT THE DOOR, AND CHA COLLAPSED WHEN THINK GOT OUT. NOW, ONE OF THOSE FIREFIGHTERS WAS TAKEN TO OSU MEDICAL CENTER IN STABLE CONDITION, BUT THE FIRE CHIEF SAYS THAT FIREFIGHTER HAD EXHAUSTION AND POSSIBLE SMOKE INHALATION. NOW, THE SMOKE WAS VERY INTENTION AND THE NEIGHBORHOOD WAS COVERED WITH SMOKE WHEN FIREFIGHTERS GOT HERE. THEY WERE ABLE TO KNOCK THIS FIRE DOWN PRETTY WELL BUT SAY THE CLUTTER INSIDE CAUSED A LOT OF ISSUES. NOW, THERE WERE THREE PEOPLE IN THIS HOME. ALL OF THEM GOT OUT OKAY AND RED CROSS IS HELPING THEM. NOW, ONCE AGAIN, FIRE FIGHT OTHERS SAY DEBRIS IN THIS HOME DOWN IN THE BASEMENT COULD HAVE CAUSED SOME OF THE ISSUES OF THEM GETTING BACK OUT. NOW, THERE IS NO CAUSE YET ON THIS FIRE, BUT THE FIRE CHIEF DID TELL ME HE DID NOT HEAR ANY SMOKE ALARMS WHEN HE ROLLED UP HERE ON THIS SCENE.
