She calls out to the man on the street
‘Sir, can you help me? It’s cold and I’ve nowhere to sleep,
Is there somewhere you can tell me?’ He walks on, doesn’t look back
He pretends he can’t hear her Starts to whistle as he crosses the street
Seems embarrassed to be there Oh think twice, its another day for you and
me in paradise Oh think twice, its just another day
for you, You and me in paradise, think about it She calls out to the man on the street
He can see she’s been crying She’s got blisters on the soles of her feet
She can’t walk but she’s trying Oh think twice, its another day for you and me in paradise Oh think twice, its just another day for you, You and me in paradise, think about it Oh Lord, is there nothing more anybody can do Oh Lord, there must be something you can say You can tell from the lines on her face
You can see that she’s been there Probably been moved on from every place
cause she didn’t fit in there Oh think twice, its another day for you and me in paradise Oh think twice, its just another day for you, You and me in paradise, just think about it, think about it It’s just another day for you and me in paradise It’s just another day for you and me in paradise,
paradise

  1. Does anyone do any critical thinking anymore? This song is performed by an British citizen. The tune appears to be about an American social problem of homelessness.
Imagine an American performer singing a song about UK’s NHS. Perhaps the long wait times, the way the NHS withholds treatment for it citizens after they reach a certain age.
The point is an American singing about England’s problems would not be tolerated on either side of the Atlantic. Why the double standard?

  2. Hey, New Borns and Everyone of the Rest of Us:

Welcome to Hell aka Existence, as Solomon said in his own way, Eccl 4:2-3 https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ecclesiastes+4%3A2-3&version=NIV

Now, look up: Inspired by 2 Tim 3:16, then above verses, then Eternal Pain-Free Solution, 2 Peter 3:10, For Heaven, that is, Rev 14:13, Amen!!!

Christ has been enjoying Heaven, since then, as everyone else, "Rest From Our Labor(s)". 🙂 🙂 🙂
