  1. I just had this done and can say it was probably on my too 5 worst life experiences I've had, but probably well worth it. worst part for me was getting the local anastasia. they stick a needle way deep into your jaw/gums and it HURTS! the whole cleaning part wasn't too bad at all. the dental hygienist wanted to numb the top part of my mouth but I aked her if she could do it without the anastasia which she did.

  2. I do have some plaque in three of my bottom teeth its not that bad but I noticed in on of them my gum is getting the teeth visible they bleed twice a month cause they don't bleed when I brush them. I think I go to the dentist by February need to get this fix before gets worst. the read on why I'm gonna wait that long is because my insurance just signed up.and I have to wait lol.

  3. How to brush the teeth after root scaling procedure? Can I still use electric toothbrush? I know the gum will be pain after the treatment, can I floss like usual or use waterpik flossing?

  6. I was terrified. But am now so thankfully I had it completed in 2 appointments. 8 weeks later and my mouth feels so much better. I will never let my mouth get this bad again. This procedure was completely painless. Only think I felt was the initial needle for the numbing.

  7. Hi, please help. I will have this procedure done next week and my Dentist said we don't have to take any anesthesia for the numbing. It will be fine without it she said, would it really be a painless procedure?

  11. After the procedure doctor applied some adhesive between gum and tooth. How long will that adhesive stay? When can I brush it off?

  12. I have a huge phobia of the dentist but it can't be that bad. Think of how far down the floss goes. And also they numb you.. A dental phobia will go away when your teeth get to a bad enough point. Dont let that happen tho. Face your fears before you lose everything

  13. polishing isn't always necessary, reasons, it can actually make the tooth lose a bit of its shape, it's just for cosmetics purposes. Great vid tho

  14. I got my entire top and bottom done in one sitting and they put some numbing stuff on my gums but gosh it was still painful ! I should’ve just got the shot to numb it ! After the Procedure my mouth is really sore the next following day and my gums had bruising but the third day I was pretty good. The sore wasn’t super bad like I’m cry but it was enjoyable .

  15. I need to have this done before it gets any worst, but My insurance dont pay for it. It will cost me 1,300 with local anesthesia. Which im not to happy about it, im looking for a oral surgean to put me to sleep . Here at ct

  20. Just got home from dentist with a deep cleaning and scaling. Hygienist used gel topical anesthesia on the gums. This procedure isn't nearly as bad as it looks. Don't overthink this people: Save your teeth and take care of your gums.

  21. I had this done because I had nothing else needed and had $1500 insurance to spend that year. Had no loose teeth, no blood, no headache, no problems…..1 year and 3 months after it, all 4 of my upper teeth broke off at the gum line leaving me with the 2 front teeth. The dentist "cosmetically enhanced" those 4 teeth during the 2 day procedure for some reason because they looked beautiful when done and I remember seeing the blue light several times. devastating

  22. My daughter is starting this proceedure. I would like to know what some of your prices were and if you felt that
    it is worth the expense?

  23. My gums bleed moderately sometimes when I brush/and or floss and I’m trying to fix this ASAP
I’ve made the mistake of not caring about my oral health for a long time but I’ve been trying to get rid of it for a few months now and my dentist says I’ve been lacking in brushing still
Regardless, Will this really help? I was recommended to a periodontist and I’m thinking of asking him to show me how to brush unfortunately because for some reason I’m doing it wrong
    I feel ashamed
But can anyone attest to this and say that it actually works? How soon did u see the improvement
How long did it hurt and feel sensitive afterwards?
    Thank you all!

  24. It’s good to have this done for your teeth sake! I thank my hygienist everyday in my heart. It’ll prolong the life of your gums and teeth.
